I know Buy More doesn't sell any Macs, but I just changed from a Windows computer to a Mac. I'm loving it! What do other Mac changers think?

I wish I had a Mac. They're so expensive here though!

In terms of hardware, I find Mac and PC generally deliver good enough quality. However, usually when people refer to Mac and PC, they are in reality comparing Windows vs MacOS. As for comparing the 2 OS's, I like MacOS alot, but find developing applications for Windows a lot easier; I prefer C#.NET over Java. However, certain applications run better on Mac or are only for Mac.

So it all depends on what you want to do with your computer. If you are a graphic artist or content developer, I would suggest Mac. If you are a hobbyist and like programming like I do, go with Windows...

However, if you have an iPhone and wish to write applications for it, you need a Mac because the SDK only runs on MacOS.

Just a humble opinion...also, I actually find Windows and .NET applications in general integrate more seamlessly with my TARDIS.

I have a 24" imac with with mac osX and its awesome. I used to work at best buy selling computers and I specialized in macs and they are far more superior to pc's when it comes to a better operating system and the amount of viruses. Im not putting down pc's because I used to own one but the overall simplicity and design is amazing. Like one of the other guys said earlier, it does depend on what you are going to use the computer for so if you do alot of design go for a mac but if you like writing programs for a pc.

Im a PC guy myself, I love the freedom of upgrading my computer as needed and gaming is a must. Nothing but smooth sailing with 64-bit Vista.

I just got a Mac after my parents had switched from Mac to PC when I was younger and god, did I miss using these things. They're just easier to deal with than windows in general and you don't have to worry about viruses or spyware or anything and its lovely.

Yeah, if I can afford it, I'm never going back either. :)

I'm definatley a PC person, mainly because I can't afford a mac and partly because even though mac's are damn sexy and work beautifully, it does the same as the more affordable PC. All in all Windows it is!! :)

I like Macs but I think PC's give you a great computer for the money. Macs are expensive and I highly recommend getting the Apple Care. I have it on my Macbook which was slowing down after 3.5 years of using it everyday for work and school. I took it in to the Genius Bar and they worked on it for free. They even installed free software and a new shell- so now it's running like new again! I love it! :) What is the current shelf life of a standard PC laptop?

iv got a Dell Inspiron Laptop(which is a PC) and iv had it for 5 years going on 6.
still runs as great as the day i bought it, just missing 2 keys( because my cat was stretching put his claws under the key and pulled it out and it broke and wont go back on lol) but it still runs great i like it, after 5 years iv never had to take it in to get it fixed or anything, got a virus a couple times(my fault) but i fixed em easy, other than that no problems. :)

I'm a PC guy, but mainly because of my work. If I could afford a mac for personal use, I probably would have one.
